If your tattoo has been covered with cling film, when you get home remove the cling film.
Wash the tattoo in water as hot as you can manage (just from the tap!), with a non-fragranced soap. Do not soak or submerge it - just a quick wash.
Pat dry with a clean towel.
Re-wrap with cling film with no moisturiser, no Vaseline and no medical crea
If your tattoo has been covered with cling film, when you get home remove the cling film.

Re-wrap with cling film with no moisturiser, no Vaseline and no medical creams.
Repeat this every 4 hours or when plasma builds up for the first 24-48 hours.
After 48 hours, wash, pat dry, and leave your new tattoo unwrapped.
When it becomes dry, moisturise with a non-scented moisturiser such as Aveeno.
If your tattoo has been covered with second skin, leave this on for 24 hours.
Remove the second skin under warm running water, and wash with a non-fragranced soap.
Pat the area dry, and apply the second piece of second skin. Leave this on for up to 4 days. Wash with a non-fragranced soap, and pat dry. Your tattoo should be in the early stages of healing.
When it becomes dry, moisturise with a non-scented moisturiser such as Aveeno.
